Carto-Graphic gets its name from Cartography, Cartography means to design and make maps by using mathematical projection, involving maths, aesthetics, techniques. Topography is the science of studying landforms and their features.
This was my inspiration behind making this typeface.
Each letter started as a hand drawing.
The drawings were then vectorized and refined in Adobe Illustrator to make each letter appear more consistent in line weight to bring Carto to life.
